I applied boric acid to my carpets not too long ago for pest treatment. I used the popular "carpet method" that a lot of people might have heard of. I've heard from people that it was a good method for killing pests. They said not to apply too much but I applied it a little bit more liberally than most probably would, but I made sure to be very careful with walking on my carpets as to not spread any of the boric acid in to the air and around other parts of the house. Now that my pest problem is more under control, I vacuumed up my carpet to clean up the boric acid so I'm guessing most of the boric acid is gone, except for maybe just a little bit still stuck very deeply in the carpet fibers that can't be vacuumed out. I'm sure that won't be a problem though. The point is there's no visible boric acid left around the carpets. If there is any boric acid left over then it isn't visible, which means it wouldn't be enough to cause any problems, right?. Would it be safe to walk on my carpet again or lay on it? Or should they be further cleaned?

Especially since it's a Chinese scooter, you really should take the time to learn about this machine. Find the importer and start asking questions. Questions are cheap. If it's a 150cc, it should be able to do 60mph. If it idles at 2400rpm, it will be very difficult to start, so it needs a tuneup of some kind. Try to locate a service manual.

2002 Saturn SC2 wandering idle 800-1200 RPM?

I think the correct idle is @ around 800 but mine will fluctuate up to 1200 at times. I usually notice it when I pull clutch in arriving at a stop light/sign. It'll drop gradually to idle or sometimes jump right back up to 1200. I was told a vacuum leak most likely, so I sprayed starter fluid liberally all over the hose connections behind the engine by the intake and no noticeable change in engine speed. The thing is, when the engine started, it stayed at 800rpm without fluctuations or any problems. I'll try to see if there is a better chance at finding a leak when the car is warmed up, maybe the lines get softer and open up somewhere or something, idk! It's starting to annoy me a lot now, it'll settle down and then start drowning almost and pick up to 1200 and then stay there maybe a little then drop. Sometimes it doesn't go lower than the 1100-1200 at all. It's definitely not normal and it's burning extra fuel and couldn't be good for the engine or a cylinder. Autozone doesn't pull up any codes on it! Before it was a low coolant/engine temp or something, so I changed the water pump and thermostat now there's no code. Could it be related to that somehow? Computer thinking it's still cold or something at times and gives it extra gas? Any input would be much appreciated thanks!

A 2130 is right in Cornell's range--on the higher side as well, so your SAT I scores should be just fine! I would suggest taking the SAT IIs again, because those scores can only hurt you. You should most definetly go with the TOMS. Not only is there the "one for one" they look nice and they are light on your feet, good for running, walking, biking and other outdoor activities. What bothers me most is that they don't say what it is made of. A good design means nothing if it is made of inferior materials. In my opinion it is made of inferior steel since they don't specify. If it was made of top quality steel they wouldn't hesitate to say so. The second is the design is useless, made for looks but not for the "real" world. In real survival situations simpler is better. A kukri is designed as a hacking blade, not for slicing. The saw back would do nothing but weaken the blade, if the blade were made properly you would be able to hack through a limb much faster than you could saw through it. That is why I use the kukri design in my machetes. Look for a quality knife, for corrosive environments stainless is best but for edge holding and strength carbon steel is best and for a survival knife a selectively tempered blade of 5160 is the best. I regularly make these that can be dropped on their points form eye level and leave a divot in my concrete floor without damage to the blade. Good luck.

If you wrote a completely amazing essay & applied to Cornell Early Decision then its possible. MIT, no, Stanford I would be surprised. Your ACT kinda saves your low GPA for those types of schools. I think you have a pretty good chance at Illinois, Wash., & UNC. Carnegie Mellon you might but Texas-Austin would also be kinda a stretch because of the amount they accept out-of-state. If your talking about USC as in South Carolina then yes but I'm almost positive your not haha but Southern Cal might also be a stretch, not sure. You should be fine though with your choices.

Don't worry about the PSAT, I got what you got and ended up getting a 2100 on the real SAT, and I got accepted to Penn's Wharton school. It looks like you've done A LOT of extracurricular stuff - which is awesome and is very important in the application process - but the MOST important thing is how you perform in your college prep (primarily AP) classes. Yes, you're on the right track by taking 10 APs, but you need to focus on putting forth all the effort you can in those classes. At the rate you're going, you have a good shot at many of the schools on your list, provided you keep it all up and you do well over the next 2 years. Good luck!

I want to study architecture, preferably a 5 year b.arch program. I got into Virginia Tech and Cal Poly architecture schools. I also got into Cornell's college of Architecture Art and Planning, but not into the b.arch program. So I can go to Cornell as an undecided major and try to transfer after 1 year into the program. I had a similar problem when I was in high school. While the mistakes you made in 9th grade will, unfortunately, effect your transcripts, it is far from too late for improvement. Start looking in to more AP classes and stay involved in 2 or 3 extracurricular activities. Be sure, however, to not over do it. It is better to excel in 2 or 3 AP classes than it is to get C's in 6 AP classes just as it is better to devote your time to a few clubs and teams and possibly become president or captain than it is to be an inactive member in 10 different clubs. If you remain focused for the rest of your time in high school I have no doubt you can achieve anything wish for. At the same time, remember you are in high school and what ever you choose to do have fun while you do it. Even if you don't end up at MIT there is always graduate school and many opportunities to find a successful career. You're young and have realized you need to straighten out way before most people do. Never be discouraged. Your ambition is your biggest asset, bigger than any level of intelligence you may have.

Im a Muslim woman of Pakistani descent and I feel a lot of my Muslim friends in college are of both extreme, they dress either very conservatively with a hijab and head covering or they dress very modern/liberally. We have our books sorted by topic, or series. Our series collections are alphabetical by author's last name. For example we have all the DK books in one place and all the Osborne books in one place. They usually have the topic written on the side. (We don't have them with the front facing out- just shelved). There are some labels on certain things. We have a HUGE collection of autism resources (we should start an autism book store, I swear) and it is labelled with dates because autism research goes gets old really fast. Certain other books have labels on the shelves too. We haven't cataloged them though. I don't see the point really because I can find things easily.

Cornell let ME in, so they can't be all that choosy. If you did well in getting your associate's degree, you should have no problem GETTING in, STAYING in is another matter. The advantage of Cornell (other than the beautiful campus and top-notch faculty) is that people looking to hire are much more impressed by an Ivy League degree than they would be by one from Albany, Buffalo, or Syracus-s-s-s-s-se. Undergrad Engineering Schools?

I'm looking for the best undergraduate schools for Materials Engineering, in terms of academic experience, co-ops/internships, and research opportunities for undergrads. I have already looked at the lists released by Princeton Review, US News, etc but am trying to stay on the east coast for school (most of the schools on the lists are out in California). Finding souvenir front page newspapers?

I have a friend who is a volunteer at her local library. While sorting through book donations, she came across some front page newspapers she thought may be valuable. You have a good shot at all of them except for the SATs. Retake them. Aim for at least 2000 or 2100 for the ivies. Try to get at least a 31 on the ACTs. Other than that it looks good.

Get better grades, because even people in community college have a chance to get in. We lived in NJ, near Princeton and a representative came to my brother's high school, when my sister came to pick him she got talking to the lady, and got an acceptence letter without a check on her grades or anything. I think bacon would definitely work here and add to the flavor profile of the dish, but if you'd like a substantial meat added to the dish, I recommend chicken. Bake off some chicken thighs (skin on) in the oven. When they are done, remove the skin and shred the chicken meat and add to the stew (along with the bacon). Between the parsley and the cilantro (I like both), I think parsley would lend itself to the dish better.

Why are juvenile offenders' records sealed?

Most states in one form or another basically seal the records of juvenile offenders when they turn 18. These records are also exempted under the public records act for whatever reason it is that they decided to exempt them. So with that above, why are juvenile offenders' records sealed upon turning 18 which allows them to gain employment, housing and other services without the fear of having their criminal adjudication detected? These statements following cannot be the answer because they are not correct: 1. juvenile offenders recidivism rate is higher than adult offenders, so you can't say factually that juveniles don't repeat so that's why they get a break; 2. rehabilitation is statutorily construed liberally (in case you don't know that means the state is not required to rehabilitate those whom it imprisons) so juvenile offenders are not being rehabilitated but instead just housed; 3. juvenile sex offenders have the same basic reporting procedure as adult sex offenders (meaning they must register and that means post cards with their picture in the mail); 4. they are what, developmentally disabled due to their age? If that's the case then the majority of adult offenders would be legally disabled under the ADA since the majority of adult offenders offended when they were juveniles. im a vegetarian ( because of religious reasons. though i have chicken like once in two weeks. im east indian by the way). and im also a bit of a picky eater. we usually have a lot of vegetables and rice in our diet ( no spicy food. my family uses a lot of herbs while cooking ). i really love dairy products and i use butter and cream liberally in almost every dish i eat even though i don't really like sweet stuff. but recently i read articles on how dairy products cause way lot of infections and can worsen sinusitis ( which im diagnosed with) and can even cause cholestrol and weight gain ( im not really fat though im 5'9and i weigh 50-52 kgs and i've been having lots of dairy products since i was a kid). do i need to change my diet because of problems it might cause in future?

Cornell University for architecture?

I want to study architecture, preferably a 5 year b.arch program. I got into Virginia Tech and Cal Poly architecture schools. I also got into Cornell's college of Architecture Art and Planning, but not into the b.arch program. So I can go to Cornell as an undecided major and try to transfer after 1 year into the program. There is no guarantee, so I am taking quite a gamble. It would also take me 5 years + 2 summers if I was admitted after 1 year. Should I take the risk in hopes of getting my b.arch from an ivy league school?
