Used boric acid on my carpets, vacuumed it up, is it safe to walk on now?

I applied boric acid to my carpets not too long ago for pest treatment. I used the popular "carpet method" that a lot of people might have heard of. I've heard from people that it was a good method for killing pests. They said not to apply too much but I applied it a little bit more liberally than most probably would, but I made sure to be very careful with walking on my carpets as to not spread any of the boric acid in to the air and around other parts of the house. Now that my pest problem is more under control, I vacuumed up my carpet to clean up the boric acid so I'm guessing most of the boric acid is gone, except for maybe just a little bit still stuck very deeply in the carpet fibers that can't be vacuumed out. I'm sure that won't be a problem though. The point is there's no visible boric acid left around the carpets. If there is any boric acid left over then it isn't visible, which means it wouldn't be enough to cause any problems, right?. Would it be safe to walk on my carpet again? Or should they be further cleaned?
