What to call a Sniper Rifle?

A long rang, high precision rifle perhaps. Personally, when its something such as that I would not object to someone calling it a sniper rifle. I do believe the term gets thrown around too liberally but that fits the bill. I get upset when someone inexperienced or ignorant sees my varmint gun, or something of the sort, which is made for reaching out and calls it a sniper rifle. Simply because it is a long heavy barrel rifle with "enough" scope to get the job done does not make it a sniper rifle. It must be invented and/or engineered for that sole purpose to qualify as such, again in my personal opinion.
