Why do some people think that heterosexuals in the military are liberally open about their relationships?

Haha yeah I know what you mean, a lot of my buddies in my unit don't even know I've already gotten married. Funny thing was they were there when I met my wife for the first time, they are gonna sh*t bricks when I break the news to them that we already actually have a daughter.
